Reflecting Society

I create visual narratives that highlight social issues, cultural heritage, community initiatives and powerful individual stories. My practice includes both photography and written text. Here is a selection of published photo-essays.

Yugoslavia - The Identity Erasure

Within a long-term personal project, I am documenting the process of Yugoslav heritage demolition.

For nearly two decades, through policy of public space planning, the ruling establishment has been working hard to demolish the legacy of Yugoslavia, but for the last fifteen years in Serbia, such an idea has taken shape with the clear intention of completely erasing the identity and culture built during the 20th century in the former Yugoslav climate.

Trade Fair Discounts*

Yet another essay as a part of the long-term personal project of documenting the process of Yugoslav heritage demolition.

The architectural complex of the Belgrade Fair is the next destination to be hit by the demolition wave of the large capital investments striving to meet the scheduling of the planned EXPO 2027 exhibition to be held in Belgrade.

Future The Right, The Headquarters In General

This photo-essay is another episode of the long-term personal project of documenting the process of Yugoslav heritage demolition.

The architectural complex of the Army Headquarters in Belgrade stands as a ruin for a quarter of a century. Of course, we cannot change the past, but no one prevents us from not looking at it through a lens that distorts the image. On the other hand, the image of certain symbols in the present is often distorted, sometimes to the point of ruin, due to a misunderstanding of the deformed past.

The Year of Students

The large-scale protest led by the student movement had spread progressively throughout Serbia demanding responsibility for the tragic collapse at the train station in the city of Novi Sad.

The selection of photos I took following the student protests was printed in daily newspaper "Danas" along with my story inspired by the youth movement in Serbia 2024/2025.

See the photo-essay published in online edition of "Danas".

Dialogue

The e-book brings a transcript of a 2022 dialogue with painter Goran Vitanović for his "Dialogue" series. The conversation helped defining my views on art and life, culminating in a shared thought I consider a valuable art statement.

I am grateful to Goran for the questions he posed and for giving me the opportunity to more clearly define my relationship to art and life. Besides the fact that it was enjoyable to spend time with Goran through the form of conversation, I realized that we introduced a possible process and shaped a thought I am ready to sign as a kind of personal manifesto about art.
